Personal Injury Chiropractic Care and Worker’s Compensation Chiropractic Care

neck pain personal injury

Have you recently been injured at work or in an accident? If you have grounds for a claim, your personal injury chiropractic care or worker’s comp chiropractic care could be covered under the claim.

Personal Injury Chiropractic Care

Post-accident, you may be compensated for medical bills, missed paychecks, and other assorted costs. We’re not able to say what your compensation covers, but we’ve seen patients who are entitled to free chiropractic care as a result of a personal injury claim.

Personal Injuries are Usually Caused By:

  • Auto accidents
  • Pedestrian accidents
  • Faulty products
  • Falls in public or private

Common Injuries Include:

  • Neck injuries like whiplash
  • Low back injuries like herniated discs or strain
  • Shoulder, arm or hand injuries like dislocation

Worker’s Comp Chiropractic Care

If you’re injured on the job, your lost wages and medical expenses may be covered by a worker’s comp claim. This may even include chiropractic care for, in some cases, up to 20 visits.

Common Worker’s Comp Injuries Include:

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Lower back discomfort
  • Shoulder misalignment
  • Other repetitive motion injuries

What You Should Do if You’re Injured at Work or in an Accident

1. Get Urgent First Aid if Needed

If your life or health is in danger, call for medical attention right away. Nothing is more important than getting the care you need when you need it.

2. File a Report

The longer you wait to report the injury, the less likely your claim will be honored. Do it right away.

  • Detail the circumstances and events in a report to your employer if it happened at work
  • File a police report if it was traffic-related or a slip and fall in a public place
  • Contact any third parties that may be involved, like the negligent individual’s insurer

3. Get Necessary Medical Treatment

If you have a more common injury like a sprain, strain, back pain, or neck pain, you don’t need immediate attention. But you do need to address it so you can get back to work.
