Your First Choice For Chiropractic Adjustments

According to The Mayo Clinic, chiropractic adjustment is a procedure in which licensed and experienced chiropractors use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal of this procedure, also known as spinal manipulation, is to improve spinal motion and your body’s physical function.

The timeline to see results from chiropractic care can vary depending on several factors, including the nature and severity of the condition being treated, the patient’s overall health and lifestyle factors, and the frequency and consistency of chiropractic treatments. Some patients may experience immediate relief following their first chiropractic adjustment while others may require multiple sessions. Most patients attain maximum improvement in six to ten visits.

Upon entering our practice, we want you to feel like you’re in good hands. To offer you the best possible care, we designed our modern, high energy practice to be both advanced and relaxing.

Common Questions

Chiropractic adjustments have the incredible and unique ability to treat a wide variety of physical concerns and the capability to act as a preventative measure to support the overall wellness of our patients. Some of the most frequent conditions that we treat include but are not limited to:

  • Auto Injuries

  • Lower Back Pain

  • Neck Pain

  • Headaches

  • Sciatica

  • Bowel regularity

  • Improved mental clarity

  • Improve Blood Pressure

  • Ear infections

Chiropractic treatment can help significantly with the pain that is associated with various accidents, conditions like scoliosis. Pain can be debilitating to live with and infringe on the quality of life that we lead, but thankfully receiving chiropractic adjustments can help treat issues at the source rather than mask the pain.

One of the best things about receiving chiropractic adjustments is that they are a completely drug-free path to healing the body naturally. Our chiropractic care will provide benefits that will help to improve overall quality of life.

Many people visit us for a chiropractic adjustment because they are in pain, have poor posture, and/or are seeking injury prevention information. Our doctors will give you a prescription and educate you on the benefits of chiropractic adjustment.

Chiropractic adjustment rarely hurts. Adjustments to specific joints in the spine or extremities may feel slightly uncomfortable or apply a bit of pressure, but you should not feel pain once the adjustment is performed. If it is your first time being adjusted, you may experience slight soreness or discomfort for 12-24 hours following the first adjustment, but a chiropractic adjustment is safe when it’s performed by someone trained and licensed to deliver chiropractic care. At Atlas Total Health Chiropractic, all of our doctors are board-certified.

Suppose you’ve never had a chiropractic adjustment done before, but you are looking to have one or get regular appointments set up. In that case, there’s a good chance that you aren’t exactly sure where to start or what to expect – which is entirely understandable. At Atlas Total Health Chiropractic, you can rest assured that we will be as thorough as possible in answering all questions and concerns you may have during this process.

When you arrive at your first appointment, one of the highly trained and qualified chiropractors on our team will sit down with you for a consultation to discuss what you are looking to improve through receiving adjustments. Your first visit with us is essential for establishing a relationship between you, the patient, and your chiropractor. This visit helps us gain an in-depth understanding of your needs and expectations.

We’ll provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan that will be contingent on your specialized needs. The frequency of future visits differs between individuals, and the overall length of a treatment plan typically lasts between three and five months. We’ll also be sure to relay any additional information, such as what to expect after your adjustments, as well as any post-adjustment care you may need to follow.

When you pay us a visit at Atlas Total Health Chiropractic, we have a system in place that we utilize with each new patient to grasp your needs thoroughly and ensure you know what to expect throughout your treatment. The steps that are executed during your first appointment include:

An Exam, Report
After the consultation, we’ll conduct a physical exam and create a report regarding your health condition. This exam entails mobility tests, an orthopedic exam, and functional and neurological evaluations. It’s crucial to gain clarity regarding these factors when creating the right treatment plan for you.

One Set of X-Rays
It’s vital to have an initial set of x-rays completed at your first visit to ensure no fractures are present and to get a visual interpretation of the degree of misalignment in your spine. It’s important to us that we incorporate this step within your introductory visit to Atlas Total Health.

Adjustment for only $39!
The above steps and the first adjustment with us come at the affordable price of only $39. Everyone should have access to quality care at an affordable price, and we’re confident that once you experience the relief that only a chiropractic adjustment can provide, you’ll feel encouraged to maintain consistent treatment.

During an adjustment, it’s not uncommon to hear cracking sounds as your doctor performs the various manipulations during your appointment. The popping or cracking sound you may hear is nothing to be worried about, and your chiropractor is trained to expect and understand what these sounds indicate. Within your joints is synovial fluid to help keep them lubricated, and when this fluid is produced, gaseous compounds are also created that get held in your joints. The cracks you hear are simply the gas and fluid moving and being relieved from the joints.
